  • Payment Information: Credit card details (stored securely via Jane, our PCI-compliant billing platform).

  • Website Data: Technical data like IP addresses and cookies to improve site functionality.

How Your Information is Used

Your information is used strictly for:

  • Providing and coordinating your clinical care.

  • Processing payments and issuing receipts for insurance reimbursement.

  • Communicating regarding appointments and service updates.

  • Complying with legal and regulatory requirements from the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

Confidentiality & Its Limits

Your privacy is my highest priority. I do not share your information with third parties without your written consent, except in specific legal circumstances where I am required to report:

  • Risk of imminent harm to yourself or someone else.

  • Suspected abuse or neglect of a child (under 16) or an elderly person in long-term care.

  • A court order or subpoena.

  • Reporting sexual abuse by a regulated health professional.

Data Security & Storage

  • Jane App: I use Jane, a HIPAA/PHIPA-compliant platform, for all clinical records and scheduling. Your data is encrypted and stored on secure servers located in Canada.

  • Physical Security: Any physical records are kept in a locked facility, only accessible by me.

  • Electronic Security: All devices used to access client data are password-protected.

Your Rights

Under PHIPA, you have the right to:

  • Access and view your personal health record.

  • Request a correction to inaccurate information.

  • Withdraw your consent for the collection or use of your data (subject to legal or contractual restrictions).
